Mineral County Record Custodians

The Mineral County Sheriff handles local jail booking and release records. Its public office is at 105 South A Street, Suite 4, Hawthorne, Nevada 89415. Mail may be sent to P.O. Box 2290, Hawthorne, NV 89415. Call (775) 945-2434 or email publicrecords@mineralcountynv.org. Published office hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; county offices are closed Friday. The Sheriff publishes both a public-record request form and a separate records inquiry page.

For a state-prison record, contact the Nevada Department of Corrections Public Information Office at 5500 Snyder Avenue, Carson City, NV 89701, (775) 977-5649, or publicrecords@doc.nv.gov. NDOC lists inspection hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., subject to appointments and closures. The correct destination depends on the question:

  • Use the home page for the full released-person search path and Mineral County release-record request steps.
  • For supervision, consult Mineral County probation and parole and Nevada State Police Northern Command.
  • For a recent county-jail interval, follow the 24-hour release request process because no official online feed was located.
  • For a future date or alert, compare the projected release source with the current Nevada S.A.V.E. service described under VINELink inmate search.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use NDOC Offender Search and NDOC records.
  • For a federal or immigration matter, use the BOP or ICE locator tied to that custody episode.
  • For a court order, contact Hawthorne Township Justice Court or the Eleventh Judicial District Court clerk.
